Understanding the Euthansia Problem - Working Towards An Innovative Solution

No one person or agency can solve the companion animal euthanasia problem. It will take the coordinated effort of the entire community. Likewise, no single answer will solve the riddle of pet population management.

SAFE is dedicated to researching, developing and implementing a coordinated community-wide resolution to the senseless euthanasia of adoptable companion animals. Although we do not yet have the answer, we know there are several areas that must be explored:

  • focus on pet retention by their owners
  • restructure our animal shelter system
  • implement wide-scale microchipping
  • continue to encourage sterilization
With your help, together we can make it happen!
