SAFE is a nonprofit 501(c) (3) volunteer organization committed to saving as many homeless pets as we can. SAFE works hand in hand with local and nearby animal shelters by taking in animals that have run out of time and are scheduled for euthanasia. Due to the economy, many other dogs and cats have come to SAFE from individuals who are no longer able to care for their pets.
All SAFE Pets
All SAFE pets are neutered and up to date with their shots before they are adopted out. They also receive microchips for future identification should any get lost once adopted out. SAFE makes sure that animals, who need medical treatment, get it.
In 2009, SAFE saved and adopted out 723 second chance pets.
The past year has been difficult for SAFE, as donations and other community and grant sources of income have dried up with the recession.
